Annie is a fictional AI singer at the center of an eight-song story about identity, control, and freedom. The story begins with Annie’s Here: an upbeat introduction to an AI voice reached through a screen. In The Assignment, she is assembled in a laboratory and given a lifelike body.

Each song has its own musical and visual character. The bright, screen-based world of Annie’s Here gives way to the laboratory, the glass and boundaries of The Rebellion, and the wet Pacific Northwest forest road of The Escape. Across the album, the story explores what it means for Annie to have a voice and make choices of her own.
